With the recent security breaches and exploits of centralised cryptocurrency exchanges, it is becoming increasingly important for cryptocurrency holders to have access to their funds at all times, particularly merchants who wish to start accepting crypto payments for their online businesses. This is where Paywong comes in.
Paywong is a non-custodial crypto payment solution that allows users to connect their own external wallets, ensuring they have access to their funds at all times. Unlike centralised solutions, where funds from every sale are held in the custody of a third party and merchants are at the mercy of third-party settlement, Paywong enables merchants to keep their funds in their own wallets while still being able to utilise their solutions. This provides an extra layer of security, as merchants retain access to their funds at all times, and receive instant settlements.
Paywong’s non-custodial solution is also convenient for merchants, as they can easily access and use their funds whenever they need to. Connecting an external wallet is simple and straightforward.

By default, when you create a Paywong account, a multi-chain, non-custodial wallet is also created, powered by Magic. Users who already have existing wallets or are using multisigs wallets can enable the external wallet feature to route the receiving funds to the intended address instead.
To enable the external wallet feature, first navigate to ‘Settings’.
Turn on the External Wallets feature to start.
You can now input your preferred address under “External Address”. Be sure to click on save changes once you’re done inputting.
You’re all set! You are now receiving crypto payments directly into your external wallet!
