Here’s how to set up Users & Permissions.
Paywong allows businesses to manage their multiple stores from one single dashboard, whether it's a Shopify store, Woocommerce store, Opencart store or even a customised app. Managing permissions is crucial when multiple people are working on Paywong.
Improper permission settings can lead to confusion and chaos, hindering individuals’ ability to perform their jobs and potentially exposing sensitive data. It is important to understand the different levels of permissions available in Paywong to ensure that the right people have access to the right information.
This guide to Paywong permissions will provide insights on how to set up and manage user roles. Properly configured permissions in Paywong will enable your team to collaborate securely and efficiently.
Here’s how:
Currently, there are two types of access levels available: ADMIN and VIEWER.
An ADMIN user has the ability to read and write data on the dashboard, while a VIEWER user can only view the data. This allows you to control who can access and modify your data, ensuring that sensitive information is protected.
To manage your users' permission, first navigate to ‘Users’.
Click on ‘New Invite’ under ‘Pending Invitation’ to enter your team’s email address and to invite them.
Once you’ve sent an invitation, your new team member will receive an email prompting them to create an account and log in to the dashboard. From there, they’ll be able to access the data according to their assigned access level.
Changing your team access level
To manage the access level, click ‘Edit’ on the respective member under ‘Member List’.
You can now change the access level as well as the job title (if required). Be sure to click on save changes once you’re done.
Effective permission management is crucial for maintaining the security of any online business. By carefully configuring access controls, businesses can safeguard their data against unauthorised access and guarantee that only authorised users have the appropriate level of access to the platform.
Paywong is looking to add more access levels and permissions in the next update.
